Ways of Transport
Partial Cargo or "LTL" shipping
Partial cargo shipping includes any type of dry shipment that does not require the space of a full van.
That is, if your cargo is less than 10,000 pounds and has less than 10 pallets, in most cases it will be transported via LTL.
This cost-saving option does not need a complete truck, it can only rent the space that you will use.
General Cargo Transport or "Dry Van Freight"
The vast majority of cargo that is transported overland in the United States is considered general cargo, this includes most products such as plastics, paper, wood, furniture, spare parts, electronics etc.
Transport of full truck shipments (TL or FTL)
FTL refers to full load cargo. FTL shipping used for large shipments that require taking the entire truck, or at least close to it.
With FTL, your load is a single load that moves on an individual truck, so you have exclusivity for the entire truck and theoretically you are filling the load.
You can reserve the truck at its full capacity, even if you don't renew all available space.
Doing so would ensure that you won't have to worry about your products changing hands at any time or your products getting stuck with other products.
